The Story
OCBC Cycle is the biggest cycling festival held annually in Singapore. A big attraction for cyclists is that they can ride through iconic landmarks and places of interest in roads that are closed to traffic. The festival typically draws about 7,000 enthusiastic participants.
In 2019, Kin was selected as the Official Event Builder and EXPO contractor. We took a multi-disciplinary approach, overseeing the entire build setup, managing the exhibitors and planning the expo space. We also had to source for exhibitors that offered products and services that brought value to cyclists.
The build schedule along the cycling route was carefully planned with some areas requiring an immediate tear-down so that roads could be reopened quickly. We had to work closely and manage our suppliers to ensure that all structures were built according to the schedule but safe for all participants as well as other stakeholders.
Being the preferred logistics partner, we have become an integral part of the success of OCBC Cycle. Our client, Pich, trusts us to deliver on engagement ideas that enhance everyone’s experience. An eye-catching example of a creative outcome were the iconic giant inflatable bicycles placed around Singapore Sports Hub. They enhanced the message that OCBC Cycle is a fun ride.
